Herbaceous annual or perennial with distinctive velvety flowers and foliage. Southern Stars is a hybrid between Actinotus heianthi Minor and Actinotus helianthi Compact Form
FEATURES: Flowers, appearing in Spring and Summer, occur in clusters and are surrounded by creamy-white velvety or flannel textured bracts that may be tipped with soft green. Leaves are also velvety and silvery-grey.
Tolerant of coastal conditions and frost.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Mulch well with wood chips, leaf litter or rockery materials to keep the root zone cool and moist.
