Red Lantern
FEATURES: A very adaptable and ornamental multi-branched to
spreading shrub with dense wedge-shaped, serrated leaves mid green
in colour with young growth covered in brown hairs. Lovely acorn-
shaped, large pendulous flowers, deep scarlet red to yellow from late
Winter to Summer. Reaches approx. 2-4m high and 2-5m wide.
CONDITIONS: Prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded
position. Tolerant of most soil types, dry conditions, wind, light frost and
coastal conditions providing there is some protection from salt spray.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Mulch well.
