FEATURES: Small eucalypt which produces brilliant red capped flower buds followed by large deep yellow flowers in summer through to autumn.
The trunk also has distinct bark that peels away in small flakes.
CONDITIONS: Suited to well drained, open, sunny positions. Protect young plants from frost. Drought tolerant.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Dig hole at least twice as deep as the container and then backfill to the desired depth before planting. This allows roots to grow down into the soil with ease after planting. Mulch around the base of the plant to suppress weeds and retain moisture during the drier months. Stake young plants well.
